Our Story

The movement for freedom of information works to promote transparency in public institutions, to increase supervision of the activities of public authorities, and to encourage the public to make use of its right to information. We believe that the promotion of these goals will lead to the creation of a more open, democratic and just society

Our Story

Our mission is to implement the Freedom of Information act in Israel

We assist citizens, journalists and organizations seeking legal action in order to make information public. We increase transparency in decision-making procedures by legal precedents. We encourage the public to demand their right for information from the authorities. We make data more accessible. We educate the media to make proper use of the
public's right to information through the legal mechanism. We have two academic clinics in Israeli universities and aim for more.
